Washington, March 23, 1967 -Sen. Hugh Scott (R-Pa) said today that he wants the Central Intelligence Agency to stop giving money to the American ‘Friends of the Middle East, an anti-Israel organization.
Scott said that the American Friends of the Middle East, a Washington group, has’ received $2.3 million from the CIA through ten foundations since 1951. Continue reading
Mr. Ryan and Mr. Rosenthal said “the CIA undermines the Administration policy of friendship toward Israel by secretly funding the AFME.” They cited AFME’s attacks on Israel and propaganda issued by Elmo Hutchison, AFME’s former Middle East director. They pointed out that AFME helps finance and guides an organization it created, the Organization of Arab Students. The group spreads anti-Israel and sometimes anti-Jewish propaganda at over 100 American colleges and universities by Arab students. The Arab student activity is supported by the Arab League in Cairo, which sends out the propaganda lines to be followed. Britain’s notorious White Paper of 1939 which effectively cut off Jewish immigration to Palestine on the eve of the Holocaust was a death sentence for millions of European Jews trapped in Europe. After World War 11, British perfidy persisted and the 1939 White Paper remained the basis of British policy. The video dispels certain myths concerning the origin of the name ‘Palestine’ and of the ‘Arab Palestinians.’ It documents that the ‘Arab Palestinians’ are in fact mostly from other places, and migrated to what is now Israel at the same time as the Zionist Jews, many of them because of the economic boom that the Zionist Jews produced in what was then British Mandate Palestine. The Zionist Jews did not steal the “best” land from Arab landowners but in fact purchased abandoned desert and swamp land from absentee Arab landlords who were quite eager to sell. This was explained by Hajj Amin al Husseini himself. Husseini, father of the Palestinian movement, launched his fourth terrorist attack against the Jews of the Mandate in 1936-39. The violence was so great that the British sent a team to investigate. When questioned, Husseini admitted that the Zionist Jews had not stolen anybody’s land but in fact had bought it. It was near to impossible for the Yugoslav Socialist government and the Serbian people, to get a fair hearing – most notably on the Left, especially among liberals, progressives, academics, and human rights activists thanks to the efforts of so many leading lights in the “alternative” world of progressive group-think.
What I see now is that the policies the Left is championing are less oppositional, than aligned with the western elite, if unwittingly, although increasingly I wonder.
What I see is that the accusations, the threats, and the demands made against Israel and the Jews bear an uncanny resemblance to those made against Yugoslavia – before it was destroyed.
