On behalf of the victims–Roma, Serbian, and Jewish–Chief Israeli Holocaust historian, Professor Gideon Greif, is campaigning to expose the sadistic, gruesome horrors that took place in Croatian death camps, most notably at Jasenovac.

to express outrage at Croatian efforts to deny and erase this history. They vehemently condemned the movement to canonize the notorious Croatian war criminal: Cardinal Aloysius Stepinac.

Croatians, Professor Greif explains, in addition to committing truly grisly, unspeakable atrocities against hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Roma and Jewish civilians, also created concentration camps exclusively for children–something even the German Nazis had not done.
Professor Graef, who has been studying Jasenovac for the last two years and announces the publication of the book “Jasenovac-Auschwitz of the Balkans”, states that Jasenovac is unique in having children’s camps.

Profesor je potom podsetio da je tako 10. jula 1941. nemački vojni ataše u Zagrebu Edmond fon Honstenau napisao Hajnrihu Himleru da su nemačke trupe “nemi svedoci brutalnosti ustaša nad Srbima, Jevrejima i Romima”.
