“Americans literally kidnapped Serbian land and gave it to the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). When I came to Kosovo, I quickly realized that the French chose the wrong side,” said Ogar. […]

“Bill Clinton and Madeleine Albright argued then that genocide of more than 100,000 Albanians happened in Kosovo and Metohija,” recalls Ogar, stating that it was “a big lie they made and it was accepted by almost all of Europe and the rest of the world.”

“The British have played the role of peacekeepers in Kosovo, but in fact they fought along with the KLA terrorists against the Serbs. I remember early evening on 17 June 1999 when the KLA ambushed a column of Serbian civilians withdrawing with 200 tractors from Pec to Mitrovica” testifies Ogar.

When he received the report about the attack, he sent a helicopter to see the position of the KLA and then ordered burst fire on the positions of the KLA to “disperse the gang.”

“I was amazed when a few moments later British general Mae called me by radio, requesting to ‘stop shooting at his soldiers’,” said Colonel Ogar.

Ogar: France betrayed Serbs, UK played double game in Kosovo

BELGRADE – The British have played the role of peacekeepers in Kosovo, but in fact they fought alongside the terrorists of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) against the Serbs. I wanted to disperse the gang, but the British general Mae asked not to shoot at his soldiers, retired French colonel Jacques Ogar told SRNA news agency.

French Colonel Jacques Ogar (60), ended his military career in the way he didn’t want to – he retired prematurely because in 1999, as a member of NATO, he protected Kosovo Serbs.

The experienced warrior from African conflicts and the Foreign Legion paratrooper believes that the most important thing for him is that he didn’t fight against the Serbs and in that way brought honour to all Frenchman and his family, where he was the 12th generation of officers.

Ogar told Srna that on the first day of his visit to Kosovo, it was clear that the United States spread misinformation and “poisoned” the world with lies about the Serbs as a criminal people.

“Bill Clinton and Madeleine Albright argued then that genocide of more than 100,000 Albanians happened in Kosovo and Metohija,” recalls Ogar, stating that it was “a big lie they made and it was accepted by almost all of Europe and the rest of the world.”

“Those who made these lies about the genocide, also US Generals Wesley Clark and Michael Jackson, now shamelessly get rich in Kosovo,” said Ogar.

At the beginning of the 13th century Serbian King Stefan Uros Nemanjic married a French woman Elen, a close relative of the French royal family of Anjou. Serbs then called her Queen Helen of Anjou.

“In my family they taught me to love Serbia because the friendship of the French and Serbian peoples lasts from the time of Helen of Anjou. When I was the commander of the French special units after the bombing of Serbia and when I came to Kosovo, I had no moral dilemma,” he says.

“Prior to that time, my father, a retired general of the French army, told me to be careful there [in Kosovo] because the Serbs are honorable people and have a glorious history,” said Ogar, indicating that he read a book by Dusan Batakovic, “Kosovo, the spiral of hatred”, to better prepare for the mission.

But the real picture of the developments in Kosovo he gained only when he saw what was happening on the ground.

“Americans literally kidnapped Serbian land and gave it to the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). When I came to Kosovo, I quickly realized that the French chose the wrong side,” said Ogar.

He believes that France betrayed the traditional French-Serbian friendship, formalized during the First World War and “signed with the blood of soldiers.”

Ogar said that he could not understand the official Paris, which was bowing to the pressure from the US and sided with the “gang of terrorists.” He was particularly disappointed that the British were playing a “double game”.

He explains that in the attack on Serbian civilians, together with the Albanian terrorists were British Special units, who withdrew when the seventh brigade of the Serbian army arrived to the scene, which in those days was withdrawing from the southern Serbian province, in accordance with the Kumanovo Agreement.

The commander of the French special units in Kosovo and Metohija in the summer of 1999, Colonel Jacques Ogar said that he witnessed those days many similar terrorist attacks. He says he helped the Serbs wherever possible.

“Due to the great injustice that the international community did against the Serbian people, after returning to France, I decided to take early retirement. My behavior in Kosovo probably resented the elders even though they did not say it,” – said Ogar in the interview for Srna.

After returning from Kosovo he was about to take command of a regiment of the French army, but he was not able to. Then he realized that he was a problem for the French army.

“It made me very angry and I decided to leave the army. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve made in my life, but with hindsight I think I’ve done well,” said Ogar.
